Franklin Templeton has just unveiled plans for new actively managed Irish-domiciled ETFs, looking to launch on Asian markets. They plan to bring a select group of around 50 active existing products to other big markets. The co-head of their Asia-Pacific fund house said that the firm is looking to, “provide clients with value that’s going to be differentiated and alpha-driven, so it’s really bringing the active ideas into the market.” Making an entry in the Asia ETF space could be challenging but investor demand is still growing in the region.
ETF Newz Says:
Some Asian markets have not yet allowed active ETFs but over time more have began changing direction.
