Vanguard To Liquidate Their First ETF

For the first time since the investment company launched, Vanguard Group has announced they will be shutting down one of their ETFs. The Vanguard U.S. Liquidity Factor ETF (VFLQ) will be closed and liquidated late in November as Vanguard it hasn’t gained much since launch. The main reason for VFLQ’s closure is because since its launch in 2018 the ETF never really found footing peaking at around $55 million total assets in 2021 to $39.7 million today.

ETF Newz Says:

Vanguard has 82 U.S. ETFs with around $1.8 trillion in total assets controlled so the loss of VFLQ is merely a chip on their shoulder.
