Vanguard Expands Active Fixed Income ETF Lineup with New Offerings

Vanguard, a prominent player in the asset management industry, is further bolstering its presence in the active fixed income ETF market with the impending launch of two new active fixed income ETFs later this year. These new additions, the Vanguard Core Bond ETF and Vanguard Core-Plus Bond ETF, aim to provide investors with exposure to diversified portfolios of bonds across various sectors, credit qualities, and durations.

The Core Bond ETF primarily focuses on U.S. securities while allocating small portions to higher-risk segments like high-yield credit and emerging market debt. On the other hand, the Core-Plus Bond ETF will have more substantial allocations to riskier areas within the fixed income market. Both ETFs offer relatively low expense ratios, with the Core Bond ETF at 0.10% and the Core-Plus Bond ETF at 0.20%.

ETF Newz Says:

Amid the prevailing uncertainty in monetary policy and the economic outlook, active fixed income strategies are gaining traction due to the latitude and flexibility they provide to navigate complex market conditions, which may not be available in passive funds.
