State Street Global Advisors Launches SPDR Portfolio S&P Sector Neutral Dividend ETF (SPDG)

State Street Global Advisors has introduced the SPDR Portfolio S&P Sector Neutral Dividend ETF (SPDG), designed to track the total return performance of the S&P Sector-Neutral High Yield Dividend Aristocrats Index. This index replicates the sector weights of the S&P Composite 1500 Index and includes companies with a track record of increasing or maintaining dividend payments for at least seven consecutive years. SPDG aims to address sector biases that can affect the relative returns of dividend strategies compared to broader equity markets. It offers income-oriented investors a low-cost, core dividend fund option. The launch responds to the continued demand for equity income strategies in 2023, providing broader diversification within this category. SPDG is the latest addition to SSGA’s suite of 23 low-cost SPDR Portfolio ETFs, which have accumulated over $156 billion in assets under management since their 2017 launch.
