Schwab Asset Management is preparing to introduce the Schwab High Yield Bond ETF (SCYB US), one of the most cost-effective options in the high yield bond ETF market. With an expense ratio of only 0.10%, the fund aims to compete with established ETFs such as iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corp Bond ETF (HYG US) and SPDR Bloomberg High Yield Bond ETF (JNK US). The SCYB ETF offers investors exposure to a core portfolio of high yield corporate bonds, providing potential higher yields while benefiting from the advantages of an ETF, such as tax efficiency and ease of trading. It will track the ICE BofA US Cash Pay High Yield Constrained Index, which focuses on liquidity and aims to manage investment risk through security selection and issuer diversification.
