Record Number of ETF Launches

Share post:

The United States market witnessed the launch of 18 new ETFs in a single week, which is more than double the average weekly total of 8.5 for the year 2023. This recent spree brought the total ETF launches for the month to 57, surpassing the previous record of 53 in September 2022. Some notable contributors to this surge include five new ETFs from Capital Group, eight from Brookstone Asset Management, and two from Dimensional Fund Advisors. It’s also highlighted that Dimensional has been transitioning from actively-managed mutual funds to ETFs since 2020.

ETF Newz Says:

This uptick in launches is reflective of a growing investor interest in actively managed ETFs, a trend supported by the likes of Capital Group and Dimensional.
