PIMCO Launches Preferred and Capital Securities ETF

PIMCO is expanding on their actively managed ETF roster with the launch of the PIMCO Preferred and Capital Securities Active ETF (PRFD), available for trade on the NYSE. PRFD looks to offer exposure to opportunities within the preferred and capital securities markets seeking equity-like returns with lowered volatility. A quote from the manager of PRFD states, “Strong balance sheets and higher interest rates make financial institutions, which account for most of the preferred and capital securities market, an attractive investment for those looking for a diversified allocation in fixed income and the potential to earn equity-like returns.”

ETF Newz Says:

Like many of PIMCO’s ETFs, PRFD aims to help meet long-term investment goals.
