This index includes companies from the following industries: pharmaceuticals; health care providers & services; health care equipment & supplies; biotechnology; life sciences tools & services; and health care technology. The XLV ETF is comprised of publicly traded companies in the health care sector, primarily from the S&P 500 index. This includes major pharmaceuticals, biotechnology firms, health care equipment suppliers, and health care service providers.
