Hamilton Capital Partners Launches Canada’s First Covered Call Bond ETF

Share post:

Hamilton Capital Partners has introduced the Hamilton U.S. Bond Yield Maximizer ETF (HBND), marking Canada’s inaugural covered call bond ETF. The fund is designed to provide attractive monthly income while primarily offering exposure to U.S. treasuries through a portfolio of bond exchange-traded funds (ETFs). To enhance distribution income, mitigate risk, and minimize volatility, HBND will employ an actively managed covered call overlay. The ETF has successfully concluded the initial offering of its Class E units and is scheduled to commence trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “HBND” on September 15, 2023. The fund aims to deliver an initial yield of 10%.
