DWS has unveiled the Xtrackers US National Critical Technologies ETF (CRTC US), introducing a unique thematic equity fund designed to align with US modernization priorities while minimizing geopolitical risks. Listed on NYSE Arca, the ETF incorporates industry-level screening and a geostrategic risk rating score, evaluating constituents’ entanglement in countries deemed risky by the US government. With an expense ratio of 0.35%, the fund follows the Solactive Whitney US Critical Technologies Index, selecting from large and mid-cap stocks involved in 14 critical technology areas. The screening process ensures exposure to companies developing technologies deemed crucial to national security, with notable positions held by industry leaders such as Nvidia, Amazon, Microsoft, and Alphabet.

Dirk Goergen, CEO of DWS Americas, highlighted the innovative approach as a strategic addition to DWS’s Xtrackers ETF offering, providing investors an efficient way to navigate key strategic themes in the evolving economic landscape. The launch complements DWS’s existing offerings in cybersecurity, semiconductors, and US green infrastructure, reinforcing its commitment to thematic investments tailored to current economic priorities and future trends.
