BMO Launches Innovative Structured Outcome ETFs on Cboe Canada

BMO has partnered with Cboe Canada to introduce four new Exchange Traded Products (ETPs) catering to various investment objectives. These ETPs, including Buffer ETFs and Accelerator ETFs, provide investors with exposure to broad equity markets while managing risk. The newly launched funds are ZEBA, ZUEA, ZOCT, and BGDV. Sara Petrcich, Managing Director of BMO Global Asset Management, highlighted the unique structure of these ETFs, combining familiarity with innovative solutions for tailored exposure to equity markets.

New ETFs:

  1. BMO Canadian Banks Accelerator ETF (ZEBA): Aims to provide income and approximately double the price return of an index containing Canadian bank equities with limited exposure to downside risk.
  2. BMO US Equity Accelerator Hedged to CAD ETF (ZUEA): Seeks to provide income and approximately double the price return of a US equity market index with a focus on large-cap stocks and limited downside risk.
  3. BMO US Equity Buffer Hedged to CAD ETF – October (ZOCT): Aims to match the income and appreciation of a US equity market index, with protection against the first 15% of market price decreases, and resets annually in October.
  4. BMO Global Dividend Opportunities Fund (BGDV): Designed to enhance long-term value by primarily investing in dividend-paying equity securities of global companies.
