A new actively managed small cap value ETF called EA Bridgeway Omni Small-Cap Value ETF (BSVO) has been launched with an expense ratio of 0.47% and a focus on small cap securities that exhibit value characteristics. The fund will invest in a “broad and diverse group” of securities representing over 600 issuers. The prospectus explains that securities within the portfolio are weighted by market capitalization, and risk management criteria are implemented, including limiting the weight of holdings to reduce risk or taking into account ESG-related risks. The fund’s launch follows the recent rollout of the JPMorgan Active Small Cap Value ETF (JPSV), which is significantly more expensive with an expense ratio of 0.74% and a far narrower fund with just about 100 holdings.
