Global X ETFs has launched two new exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that feature covered call strategies and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria. The Global X S&P 500 ESG Covered Call ETF (XYLE) and the Global X Nasdaq 100 ESG Covered Call ETF (QYLE) will provide investors with a diversified source of income while potentially mitigating downside risks. Covered call strategies typically required expertise and hands-on trading, but the availability of ETFs that incorporate such strategies can help investors efficiently add them to their portfolios. These two funds will offer investors access to covered call strategies while selecting for securities that meet certain sustainability criteria relating to ESG factors.
