Vanguard Announces Closure Of Their First Fund

One of the largest ETF issuers, Vanguard, has recently announced the closure of the Vanguard U.S. Liquidity Factor ETF (VFLQ). VFLQ was a very small fund Vanguard, planning on liquidating $44.2 million, but the closure marks the first in Vanguards 21-year history in the space. VFLQ followed a rules-based approach investing in U.S. stocks with lower measures of liquidity across small, mid, and larger caps.

Vanguard went on to note they will begin reviewing their global product suite to to ensure each fund meets client needs.
