BlackRock Joins The Party With Metaverse ETF Launch

The worlds largest asset manager, BlackRock, has come to market today with an announcement for the launch of new ETF focused on the metaverse and its surrounding technologies. The iShares Future Metaverse Tech and Communications ETF (IVRS) is available for trade on the NYSE looking to offer investors exposure to companies that help provide the hardware and software that runs the metaverse. As of now the top four holdings of IVRS are, Meta Platforms (META) at 6.19%, Apple (AAPL) at 5.73%, Nvidia (NVDA) at 5.53%, and finally Roblox (RBLX) with 5.21% weighting.

The new launch from BlackRock joins a party of many other metaverse funds from the likes of Roundhill Investments, Roundhill Ball Metaverse ETF (METV) and ProShares, ProShares Metaverse ETF (VERS).
