ETF Industry Breaks Milestone

Share post:

The ETF industry recently passed a new milestone last week where for the first time there’re over 3,000 ETFs available for trading. The funds that pushed it over launched on September 9, from Emerge under tickers EPGC and EPWR. The launches are also the start of a new initiative as the ETFs are female-led, following ESG strategies. The first ETF to launch was the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) which is the largest ETF in the world. SPY will also be breaking its own record, turning 30 in January.

ETF Newz Says:

The ETFs combined to total over $7 trillion in assets under management in 2021.
