U.S. Bond ETFs See Record Trading In June

Trading volume for U.S. Bond ETFs broke records this month after interest rate hikes from the Fed causing the U.S. Fixed Income ETF turnover to reach $58 billion, $5 billion more than the previous record in 2020 amidst the early days of Covid-19. The two ETFs that saw the most trading were, BlackRock’s iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYG) which took in $9 billion and State Street’s SPDR Bloomberg High Yield Bond ETF (JNK) which saw $4 billion.
