ETC Files For First US K-Pop ETF

The Exchange Traded Concepts (ETC) investment firm has recently filed with the SEC for the launch of the KPOP ETF (KPOP). A few funds like this already exist in Korea but KPOP will be the first to launch in the US. The fund will be passively managed and plans to follow the performance of the K-pop index, created by CT Investments. ETC stated in their filing, “To construct the index, companies are selected based on a combination of float-adjusted market capitalization and K-pop relevance score criteria.”

ETF Newz Says:

The K-pop industry is wildly popular at the moment and if popularity continues to rise this ETF could be one to look out for in the future.
