Tesla Announcement Boosts Consumer Discretionary ETFs

Share post:

As Tesla announces plans for a second stock split in two years, many consumer discretionary ETFs have caught some of the gains. The Direxion Shares ETF Trust Daily Consumer Discretionary Bull (WANT) has seen the most recent growth surging almost +8% while others such as the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) and the Vanguard World FDS Consumer Discretionary ETF (VCR) moved to around +3%.

ETF Newz Says:

The actual split still needs to be voted on by investors sometime in Sept/Oct, which means the split probably doesn’t take place until closer to year end.
